Wood Pellet Production
Quality begins with the raw material and a carefully refined process.
Natural process without additives
Järviseudun Pelletti Oy's factory in Alajärvi is a modern production facility where forest industry by-products are processed into high-quality energy. Our process is designed to preserve the natural properties of the wood.
No used binders
Precise moisture control
Efficient screening of fine particles
Manufacturing Steps
Pure Raw Material
Pellets are made from 100% renewable wood, mainly sawdust and sanding dust, which are side streams of the forest industry.
Grinding
Raw material is ground to uniform size using a hammer mill.
Pressing
Fine wood material is pressed into pellets under high pressure. The wood's own lignin acts as a natural binder, so no chemicals are needed.
Cooling and Screening
After pressing, the pellets are cooled and fine particles are screened out to ensure the final product is intact and dust-free.
Packaging and Storage
The finished pellet is packed into large bags or stored in silos for later blower delivery.
